Exploring AI in College Admissions

AI is not a one-size-fits-all solution.

Some tasks in college admissions and counseling are a perfect fit for automation, while others require the human touch. This activity is designed to help you practice the critical skill of deciding when—and how much—AI should be involved.

You’ll review real-world tasks drawn from both high school and college admission settings. For each, you’ll be asked to:

  • Decide the level of AI involvement (from “automate fully” to “do not use AI”)

  • Share a quick rationale for your choice
